Assignment 4:
An Oral Presentation to Executives regarding Your Group's Selection of a Product for a Component in
Assignment 3
To Be Done by Group
Deadline:
1 pm on 6/09/2016 (Thu) JST
Remark:
This deadline is firm.
No late submission is accepted, except the exceptional cases
(e.g., illness) in which students must follow the procedure written in
Readme.
Assumptions
Tasks
Each group makes an oral presentation in one of the last two lectures on 6/09/2016 (Thu) JST
as if I and the other groups were the executives.
Remark:
An objective of this oral presentation is to persuade the executives to approve your group's selection.
The oral presentation will be done as follows.
The order of oral presentations will be decided by a random drawing
at the beginning of the lecture on 6/09/2016 (Thu).
The length of oral presentation by each group must be minimum 5 minutes
and maximum 7 minutes.
Too short or too long presentation will incur a penalty of 1 point per minute,
where the full score of Assignment 4 is 8 points (5 points for a talk plus 3 points for slides).
Every member of a group must take part of the group's presentation
and must speak something.
Slides (e.g., created by using PowerPoint) for oral presentation must be prepared
and a computer projector must be used.
After oral presentations of all groups, each student individually votes
for the best presentation (excluding her/his own group)
with respect to both their contents and ways of oral presentation.
The number of votes for a group from other groups will be added
to the total score of assignments as extra credits (maximum 10 points).
Remarks:
If a student does not participate in an oral presentation of her/his group,
then the student will not receive any credit for Assignment 4 nor extra credits even when the student's group receives votes.
If a student does not participate in voting in the last lecture on 6/09/2016 (Thu),
then the student will not receive any extra credits for votes of the student's group.
