Hello, World!

I am a student at the University of Hawaiʻi (U. H.) who values science & technology.

About

I am in my second year of the Master of Science in Computer Science degree program at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (U. H. Mānoa) College of Natural Sciences.

My interests in computing are grounded in engineering, mathematical sciences, liberal arts and the implications of information & communications technology.

Interests

My research in computer science draws on ideas from information technology, formal science, pure mathematics and the social studies.

It is informed by my experience with algorithms, data science, government and statistics.

Background

I live in the East-West Center Hale Mānoa dormitory on the leeward side of the Mānoa valley of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Since coming to the island of O‘ahu, I have enjoyed taking courses from the U. H. Mānoa Colleges of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Engineering. Previously, I completed an EDICT summer robotics engineering internship as well as degrees in computer science & mathematics.

My recent coursework has been on inferential statistics, data networks, and security & trust.

Now

Among other things, I am currently reading a book by Philip E. Tetlock on Expert Political Judgement. My academic interests include artificial intelligence, linear algebra, communication systems and information security.

Next

I seek opportunities in the public sector that draw on my skill set in computer systems, software engineering, cybersecurity and the information sciences. If you have any ideas, then say hello.
