I am always searching for motivated graduate students who are interested in

  • Numerical modeling of surface/subsurface flow and reactive transport processes

  • Numerical modeling of surf-zone processes

  • Inverse modeling/data assimilation with uncertainty quantification in earth science

  • Optimization & optimal control of water resources management system

  • Big environmental data analytics with machine learning

Please send an email with your CV and references to lee.group.application@gmail.com

If you are from a non-English speaking country, our program needs your English exam score - TOEFL/IELTS for your application.

The Computational Water Resources Modeling and Uncertainty Quantification Lab at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is seeking applications for multiple PhD students in numerical modeling and uncertainty quantification with an emphasis on: 1. Groundwater Flow Model Development

2. Inverse modeling and data assimiliation

3. Nearshore and riverine bathymetry estimation.

Applications with a strong background in applied math (numerical linear algebra and functional analysis) and statistics, and expericence in C/FORTRAN/Python/Julia programming will be considered.
