Organized and mentored CLA private high school's robotic team,
applied for grants, organized fund raising, coordinated community
involvement. Team won Hawaii regional Alliance Matches along with
Kapaa.

Helped mentor WHS public high school robotics students, who won
1st place overall statewide and in all three BotBall robotics
competition components: documentation, solo performance, and
double-elimination.
2003 - 2005
East Hawaii
Organized and mentored a group of high school students
(private-, public-, and home-school students) to compete in the
state BotBall autonomous robotics contests. Students learned the
C programming language, designed and built robots themselves, and played
fully autonomous games against other robots from high schools around the
state involving balls and other objects without any remote control. The
team won various certificates and trophies, including first place
in double-elimination competition and documentation at the statewide
competition. The team was awarded three U.S. congressional recognition
awards in 2004 and five in 2005. The team also participated in AstroDay.

Involved in website planning and consulting for Lyman House
Museum.

Performed computer translation of Chinese and English documents
and provided legal searches to assist mainly Chinese speaking
individuals needing help with English and web technology.

- Proposed JTC1/SC2/WG2 N2629 for standardization accepted by ISO
and incorporated into Unicode International Standard ISO/IEC 10646
- Submitted to Internet Society work in progress relating to
web technology
- Contributed to open source software - Tested open source
software, filed electronic reports produced and compiled
patches, etc. Some resulting code for the GNU Image
Manipulation Program was incorporated into current production
release software, which I have since used regularly in my Web
Technology class at the University of Hawaii at Hilo.

Media production using AppleII Computer controlled slide projectors.
Lyrics and background film-slides were coordinated with music,
and special effects (such as computer-generated film-slide of a
rainbow appearing over a meadow, lightning flashing, etc) were
incorporated into drama activities. My services also included
diagnosing for failed hardware down to the chip level.

Metal Manufactory; My efforts included reinstallation of
hardware drivers with Chinese Windows.

Released copyrighted T-Key terminate-and-stay-resident software
that I had developed into the public domain. This program
allowed easy drawing in arbitrary text-based DOS programs.
