What will I be learning?

We will learn more about the BASH shell and how to create variables.

After this chapter I should be able to...

Be able to create and use different variables within a shell. Also, you should be able to properly use the different files associated with the bash shell.

What should I practice?

• set - Set or unset values of shell options and positional parameters.
• export - Set export attribute for shell variables.
• Appendix M. Sample .bashrc and .bash_profile Files
