On September 6, 2009, I attended the 4th annual Mayor's Remembrance Walk in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. I was part of a contingent from the Department of Emergency Management.

The event began with a brief ceremony in front of the Honolulu Police Department headquarters. We then walked to headquarters of the Honolulu Fire Department, where another brief ceremony was held. We then walked to Honolulu Hale (city hall) for a third ceremony.

I could be seen in the openings of KHON's and KGMB's 10:00 pm newscasts that evening. I was wearing a lime-green shirt and dark pants.
