Camping Equipment
Example of a checklist that can be used to gather equipment in an emergency. Compiled by Ralph Toyama.
- Pre-packed gear bag
- Disposable plates and cutlery (to save time and conserve potable
water), mess kit, metal cooking/eating utensils, pots, pan, can opener, backpacking stove
- Water filter
- Toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, soap, towel, pre-moistened towelettes, deoderant,
collapsible plastic basin, spare eyeglasses, ear plugs
- Electronic medical thermometer
- Nylon cord, clothes pins, safety pins, sewing kit, large Ziploc bags, garbage bags, paper towels
- LED lantern, gooseneck penlight, headband flashlight, chemical lightsticks, candles with holder that encloses flame
- T-shirts, pants, swim trunks, underwear, socks
- Fuel bottles for stove
- Food bag (food and bottled water for several days)
- Bag of personal medication
- Ozium spray (air freshener)
- Starbucks Via microground coffee powder (way better than freeze-dried instant coffee, but only has a shelf life of several months)
- Rope bag (climbing rope, nylon webbing, carabiners)
- Extra toilet paper and paper towels
- Hand cart
- Water jug
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Tent
- Ground sheet for tent
- Ice chest
