Ph.D. RA/TA openings

We continue to search for self-motivated Ph.D. students to join our group, starting from either Spring or Fall. A candidate is expected to carry out research in one of the multiple areas:

  • Privacy issues in online tracking and targeted advertising.

  • Privacy and security challenges in Internet of Things (IoT) and augmented reality (AR).

  • Privacy and security challenges in wireless networking and mobile computing.

An ideal candidate is expected to have:

  • Degree: an master degree in EE, CS or a relevant area.

  • Background: communications & networking, algorithm design, security protocols, cryptography, or machine learning/optimization.

  • Techniques: possess either strong mathematical modeling and analytical skills, or strong system implementation skills.

  • English: good communication and writing skills.

  • Research Experience: previous research experience is a plus, but not absolutely necessary.
