With stunning photographs and interviews with the cast and crew of the films, learn why New Zealand was the only landscape on earth that could have provided the locations for Tolkien's Middle Earth. This behind the scenes journey is broken into five parts which focus on the interesting parallels between the fictional world and the real life country and people that helped realize it. Experience New Zealand, Home of Middle-earth. I had a conversation with Rob Tapert today as he was driving back from a commentary session with Lucy and Renee for . . . the director's cut DVD of "Friend In Need." He also told me the studio will be releasing season six on DVD in the near future. Not sure at this time if Lucy and Renee will be doing commentary on any of the other DVDs. These DVDs are for the U.S. and I expect that if sales go well, they will release seasons one through five as well. No date has been set yet for the release of either "Friend" or season six, but I believe it will be in the Spring of 2002 and we will be offering them for sale. As soon as we get any more information, we'll let everyone know. And when she was introduced, the hostess apologized to her for the low turnout, explaining that "There's a special two-hour Xena on tonight". Nikki Stafford), author of "Lucy Lawless and Renei O'Connor: Warrior Stars of Xena," is compiling a collection of true-life stories written by fans about how their lives have changed as a result of the show, and if your story is selected, you will receive a free copy of the book. If you have a story (or photos, which she is also collecting), please email her in advance at robjen1@sympatico.ca to find out how you can submit your story and what submission requirements are (no fan fiction, please); deadline is January 15, 2001 for submissions.
