A silversword at Haleakalā

Here is one of many ʻāhinahina (silverswords) that we encountered on our hike one morning from Hōlua Cabin to Kapalaoa Cabin, which are wilderness cabins in Haleakalā National Park that you can reserve through a monthly lottery. As an adaption to the low rainfall and intense sunlight, ʻāhinahina have silvery hairs on their leaves that are used to retain water and protect against ultraviolet rays.

A Few Comments

"Relative" means that you move the element relative to where it used to be. The space that the element used to occupy is still there, so sometimes this leaves a blank space that might not be aesthetically pleasing.

You move a specific side of the element in a specific direction. Negative numbers move the side towards the element’s outside direction. Positive numbers move the side towards the element’s inside direction.

Personally, I think that it is more intuitive to use negative numbers to move elements. However, you should move your elements as you wish.
