An agreement between the Aloha Bowl and Western Athletic Conference
giving the UH football team an automatic berth in the December bowl game
if the Bows win a set number of games is on the verge of being hammered
out. The victory total the Bows will need to qualify, 7 or 8, has yet to
be determined. UH last appeared in a bowl game in 1992, a Holiday Bowl

despite winning seven or more games since becoming a Division I team.
