The OIA girls basketball playoffs continue tomorrow night with semifinal
action. In one final four game, Kalaheo hosts Waipahu while
McKinley will meet Kahuku at Kahuku in the other. The league
championship game will be played on Friday night at Blaisdell Arena.
All four teams have already earned berths for next week's state
tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center. In the ILH, Kamehameha, University
High, and Iolani are the top contenders for that league's second state
tournament berth. A mini tournament to determine who will join Punahou at
states takes place tonight through Thursday.

The state high school tennis championships begin Thursday on Kauai.
Matches will be played at the Kiahuna Tennis Club and Poipu Resorts Tennis
Club. Lahainaluna's Malindo Oda and Mililani's Erin Hoe are back to
defend their respective boys' and girls' singles crowns. Punahou is the
defending boys' team champion and Mililani the girls'.
