I checked out the site http://caro.esri.com/honolulu/query0.htm that Dayle suggested to find out ownership info. of land parcels. It is indeed very slow, but found one interesting result already.
I recently ascended the ridge from Palolo near Carlos Long street to the middle of Waahila ridge. I checked the site, and the lang belongs to the govt. and is zoned for recreation, golfing, something like that. This pertains to the access "park", and the valley between my ridge and Waahila. The terrain is quite steep, and it is quite preposterous to build a golf course there.
BTW, that abandoned park is _not_ Carlos Long Park as I previously mis-remembered. Its name is Kawao Park on my 1980 map, but it is no longer marked as a park currently, reflecting the reality on the ground! I therefore propose to call "my ridge" the Kawao Ridge.
