Took a short walk from Pali Lookout Sat. afternoon, down to the intersection with Pali Hwy and back. Then checked out a valley that goes up to Konahuanui. Remember did this back in 1981, but then went in a short way only. Today, I went to the (mostly) dry waterfall, and encountered several airplane wreck parts, as described in a old hiking book.
Looks like one can climb up beyond the waterfall, maybe to the Koolau spine towards Konahuanui. Should check that out before another 17 years elapsed :)
