Journal 1
by Robert Rabideau

As I was coming home from Border's Books and music on a generally uneventful Saturday night, August 19, 1995, I stopped off at the Sack `N' Save Supermarket in the Waikele Shopping Center to have my nightly pastry. I talked to Maria, a customer service representative there, and talked to her about loaning my demo video tapes to her so she could watch them. I had demo copies of "While You Were Sleeping" and "Rob Roy" in my bag at the time. We talked for about five minutes before I proceeded to the bakery section to pick up my slice of coconut cake that I usually buy at that time. After eating my cake in peace and quiet in the fron of Sack `N' Save, I proceed to walk five minutes to my home which is about less than a 1/4 mile up the ramp from Computer City. I arrived home to discover that my parents had gone upstairs to bed already.
