Along with Bill Melemai and his 11-year-old son Willie, I spent three
days trekking across Haleakala, descending the superb Kaupo Gap on the
fourth. Included here is a four part narrative of our adventure, info
about the current
weather situation there, and some
links to pictures I've found on the web. I
also took another trip into Haleakala in April
