Kakaako Waterfront Park, Ala Moana Beach Park, The Groove

A place where you can go to get away from all the busy activity is Kaka'ako. To get to Kaka'ako go south down Ala Moana Blvd. Then, take a right on to Koula Street. The park is located at the end of this street. There are many different things that y ou could do here. There are picnic tables located around the park, so this makes it a great place to have a picnic. Kaka'ako is also a great place to go to watch the sunset. You can go there, sit down, and take in the beautiful view. If you're the typ e of person who can't just sit there, you can always go sliding down the hill. Kaka'ako is a place you can go to relax, have fun, and just enjoy yourself. Other fun activities that you can also do would include rollerblading, fishing, surfing, and scuba diving. Whatever activity that you decide to do, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun!

Another place to go is Ala Moana Beach Park. This is located across from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. It is just one of the many hangouts that teenagers enjoy spending time at. It is a popular spot for the young and old, tourist and locals. It is u sually packed with people, especially on the weekends. At Ala Moana Beach Park, there are many trees and shady areas where people can have picnics and barbecues. As you walk along the beach, the smell of salt from the ocean fills the air. Ala Moana Bea ch Park is a familiar and popular spot for teenagers, especially on Sundays. It is packed from one end to the other with cars and teenagers. The parking on Sundays is so scarce, that it takes a while before you can even find one available space. This i s a day when friends get together to cruise, have a barbecue, swim and get a tan, and most of all, to show off their cars. The area is constantly being controlled by police officers. This is to make sure that things do not get out of hand. This would i nclude fighting, parking violations, pounding sounds, and things of that sort. The strip at Ala Moana Beach Park is a long road that goes from one side of the park to the other. This is where many drive up and down, showing off their cars that are all f ixed up.

Lastly, a popular place young people like to hang out at is a club called the Groove formally known as the After Dark. The Groove is located on 1130 North Nimitz highway, behind the red business building. Ever since the club opened, a variety of famous bands have played there, such as Dance Hall Crashers- a ska band, Bad Religion- a punk band, Ka'au Crater Boys- a Hawaiian band, Coolio- a rap artist, and many more. Almost every weekend something is going on at the Groove and many people from all over Hawaii come to watch concerts, dance at raves, or come just to kickback and have a drink in the Beer garden. The Beer garden is a bar located inside the club fenced off and separated so no one under 21 can enter. The Groove usually gets pretty wild, but it's also really safe too because of the large security staff on duty. The Groove is one of Hawaii's most popular Alternative clubs, but it's not as nice as the clubs down at Restaurant Row. The parking is really limited, the bathrooms are really dirty and the stalls have no doors on them, and the drinks are pretty expensive. Other than the Groove's flaws, it's a great place to go dancing and also a perfect place to meet girls or guys.

In conclusion, there are popular locations that attract many teenagers. Kaka'ako Park, Ala Moana Beach Park, and the Groove are only three of the many spots that one can go to and have a good time. To cruise, talk story, relax, dance, whatever it may b e, there is somewhere and some place you can find to do this at.
