Magmas and Volcanoes Research
I investigate processes that occur at and underneath volcanoes. Through combinations of field campaigns, chemical analyses, textural characterization of crystals/vesicles, laboratory experiments, and analogue models, I aim to understand the origin of magmas, their modification en-route to the surface and the physical processes that are responsible for construction and destruction of volcanic edifices.
