Taxes

Due date: Time and date	Due time/date: Wednesday March 31^st 2004 at 10:00pm.
What to do	Write a two java classes. One that will manage four taxpayers (TaxManager.java). Another that will portray the taxpayer class.(Taxpayer.java)
How to turn in your homework?	Your homework should be received in the homework inbox by the specified time. You should e-mail it to: ics111-homework@hawaii.edu. You will turn in your JAVA code, all the required files (.java files) The name of your programs should be TaxManager.java and Taxpayer.java The subject of the e-mail should be "taxes/lastname", don't include the quotes, and substitute the lastname for yours. The subject of the e-mail should be exactly as shown or you will get points deducted. Make sure that your files are not zipped or otherwise compressed, or you will get no credit.

TaxManager Program

Technical details/things to keep in mind

Your program TaxManager.java program will read data for four(4) taxpayers from the user. These four taxpayers will be created using the Taxpayer.java class. Once the four taxpayers are created you will display a menu to work with the taxpayers.
The menu should look as follows:
1. modify income of a given taxpayer
2. calculate taxes to pay for a given taxpayer
3. print all the taxpayers
Once the user has selected an operation to perform, you will ask which taxpayer will be affected and ONLY that taxpayer's data should change.
After each change is performed, you should print that taxpayer information, so the user can verify that the changes took place.
You should display an error if the user input is not a number.
You should prevent your program from crashing. The crashing will deduct 50% of your assignment grade. If your program fails otherwise you will get extra deductions accordingly.
Your program should compile in UHUNIX, no other environment will be tested.
Your program should be commented and coded according to the JAVA coding standard.

Taxpayer.java class

Instance Variables

SSN (social security number), do not include any dashes. Use an int. Social security numbers are 9 digits long but keep in mind that the first digits may be zeroes so the SSN may actually be shorter than 9 digits but it cannot be longer than 9 digits.
When the user enters the SSN, he/she doesn't have to enter the dashes. That will allow you to validate it as a number.
Name (String) Make sure it is at least 7 characters long.
Address(String) make sure it is at least 10 characters long.
Income (double) make sure it is not negative. 0 income is okay if you are not working.
tax (double) this will not be part of the arguments read from the user. It should be calclulated when the user selects option (2) to calculate it.

Methods that need to be implemented

Constructor The method header will look as follows:
public Taxpayer(int iSSN, String sName, String sAddress, double dIncome)
Be sure to implement all your gets and sets methods.
You should also implement the toString method. (if the income for a given taxpayer has not been calculated, it should print: tax not calculated.
Do not forget your equals method. This time your method will compare only the SSN You will not use this method but you are required to write it.
