Tan Te of The Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology. He
will talk about the effects of sediments on coral reefs.
The talk is on Sunday, July 14 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the
upper campus of Hawai'i Preparatory Academy in Waimea.

- 7/19/96: Brian Tissot is conducting a 3-day coral reef
monitoring workshop on Kaua'i in conjunction with Save Our Seas, a
Kaua'i-based non-profit organization dedicated to
cleaning the world's oceans. The workshop is focused on
developing community-based reef monitoring. For more
information on the Kauai workshop see the description
at SOS's web site. Similar workshops are planned on the
Big Island in the near future. If you are interested

- 11/1/96: Brian Tissot is conducting a 3-day coral reef
monitoring workshop on Kaua'i in conjunction with Save Our Seas, a

- 10/28/96: Fish families have been updated with pictures
in the Marine Life of Hawai'i section. Full fish
descriptions and photos to follow soon.
- 12/1/96: Completed entering fish descriptions and images
in the Marine Life of Hawai'i section. All
images present except for about 5 species. Also added the
What's New section and the Tips
section.
- 12/16/96. Overview of Ecology of Coral Reef in
Hawai'i added to the Explore reefs and Education
areas.
- 12/18/96. Added a description of Kahalu'u to the
Explore Reefs area. It's a great place. Check it
out!
- 12/23/96. Added a description of Kealakekua Bay to
the Explore Reefs area. A very unique and
beautiful place.
- 2/8/97. Community workshop on Coral Reef Monitoring. Meet
at Kahalu'u parking lot at 8AM for orientation. Bring
