• 7/11/96: Don't miss Reeftalk on Corals by Frank Tan Te of The Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology. He will talk about the effects of sediments on coral reefs. The talk is on Sunday, July 14 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the upper campus of Hawai'i Preparatory Academy in Waimea. • 7/19/96: Brian Tissot is conducting a 3-day coral reef monitoring workshop on Kaua'i in conjunction with Save Our Seas, a Kaua'i-based non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning the world's oceans. The workshop is focused on developing community-based reef monitoring. For more information on the Kauai workshop see the description at SOS's web site. • 12/16/96. Overview of Ecology of Coral Reef in Hawai'i added to the Explore reefs and Education areas.
  
• 12/18/96. Added a description of Kahalu'u to the Explore Reefs area. It's a great place. Check it out!
  
• 12/23/96. Added a description of Kealakekua Bay to the Explore Reefs area. A very unique and beautiful place.
