ONE PHD STUDENT POSITION One research assistant opening exists for a PhD-seeking student who is interested in the survival of fecal indicators and waterborne pathogens in natural and engineered environments. Knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas are required: water biological quality, environmental microbiology, and molecular biology techniques (including qPCR, PCR cloning, microbial community analysis, etc.). The successful applicant should have a strong academic record and excellent communication skills, and is expected to conduct both field investigation and laboratory experiments. Highly motivated candidates with a MS in environmental engineering, environmental science, Microbiology, or other related discipline are encouraged to apply.
