ASSIGNMENTS / TESTS POLICIES

Assignments are graded on a pass/fail basis. If a student turns in an assignment on time and the instructor determines that the student made a valid attempt to complete the assignment, the assignment will earn a 100. Assignments do not have to be perfect. If students run into problems, they may skip over parts of the exercise. However the student should attempt to seek help via email from the instructor in order to complete assignment. If a student skips over parts of the exercise without seeking help, the assignment will probably earn a 0. Assignments that earn a 0 may be resubmitted, but late fees will apply.

Students must submit assignments through WebCT by 11:55 PM of the day in which they are due. Submissions via e-mail will not be accepted. Assignments may be turned in late but they will incur a late fee of three (3) points per calendar day. Some students will find taking a class via the WWW difficult at first. In order to allow students to acclimate to the online experience, late fees for ASSIGNMENTS will not be incurred until January 27, 2007. HOWEVER, AFTER THIS DATE, LATE FESS WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL ASSIGNMENTS INCLUDING ASSIGNMENTS DUE BEFORE January 27, 2007.

THIS RELAXATION OF LATE FEES DOES NOT APPLY TO QUIZZES.

Examinations and quizzes must be completed during their availability period. The availability period is a date span that can be seen in WebCT for each examination or quiz. Any examination or quiz not taken during the availability period will receive a zero (0).

Cheating and plagiarism on assignments or tests are unacceptable and will result in an “F” for the course for ALL parties involved.
