For ENG Productions (Electronic News Gathering)
ie: news, campus events, sports, documentary, general non-fiction
Requirements: one page minimum, typewritten, double-spaced, 12pt. font

Paragraph 1: Introduction
- Title of production
- Name of Producer
- Program type (news, sports, campus events, drama, music video, etc.)
- Approximate length of finished piece
- Target audience (college students, high school students, etc.)
- Purpose of production (to entertain, to inform, to instruct)
- Approximate date of completion
Paragraph 2: Narrative

- Brief outline or synopsis of story or event

- Story focus / angle
a. What events and issues will be covered?
b. What is the impact of this story on the viewers?
- Who will be interviewed?
- How do you plan to cover the story? What is your plan of attack?
Paragraph 3: Budget Considerations

- Source of funding
- * You must specify budget if funding is from an outside organization.

- Tape Stock Breakdown
- Acquisition (raw footage) - Hi8 format
- Editing/Post-Production - 3/4" U-Matic format
Paragraph 4: Master Schedule

- Approximate hours of production (shoot) time
- Major equipment needed (camera, tripod, lights)
- Locations of shoots. Be specific.
