Soooooooooooooo...anyway, I highly doubt that anyone comes here anymore to check this page out seeing as how it's been almost THREE years since some of the content has been changed and it's been over a year since I've even changed the front page to trick all of you into thinking that I've changed my page.
However, this doesn't mean I'm dead or off-line or anything like that. It just means that I'm lazy. Uberlazy in fact. It's kind of a long running theme with me. Anyway, for those of you who don't know, I'm currently in Japan teaching English. More specifically, I'm in a smallish town called Ube in Yamaguchi prefecture, towards the Southern tip of Honshu and I'm working for a company I shall only refer to as "The Evil Empire." And that's pretty much it. I've been here for over a year and I'll probably serve out at least my second one-year contract in Ube meaning I won't be back home till some time in 2003.
But being away hasn't made me forget about my homepage and the ten of you who actually read it when I put something up. Recently, I've been reading and writing again and I have a few ideas that I want to put up for the public's scorn and disapproval. Some of those ideas fit into the old ScotTopia concept. Some of them don't. Thus, whenever I get my act together, I'm going to try and change EVERYTHING here. I'll keep all the old stuff up somewhere in case we all want to feel nostalgic about the years 1999 and 2000 so don't worry about that (not that you were).
I know that none of this is really important to anyone except me but I figured that I should at least pretend that some of you care. I mean really, a lot of this stuff is just WOEFULLY out of date. I mean, yeah, Alyson Hannigan is still my nerdy witchy goddess of trashy teenage TV but when I put up my obsessions page American Pie hadn't been released yet and Willow wasn't TV's greatest lesbian witch. Yuka was only barely legal to think about. Same with Kanako Enomoto. Now Kanako is barely on TV from what I can see although Yuka is all over the place. Brent Barry? Well, he's still with the Sonics, still leading them to victory and hell he had a CAREER year this season and where was I to harp about the glory of White Thunder? The message board is still there but everyone's busy these days and it's just not the same. Add on to that that most of us are older, wiser, and a bit heavier and ScotTopia seems like something that has past it's prime, much like Patrick Ewing who will soon return to his planet of origin whenever Marky Mark is ready for the sequel.
SO...maybe not tomorrow (definitely not today)...maybe not the day after that...but eventually, I'll be back with some sort of homepage...something that may actually be updated once in a while because I actually care....Stay tuned true believers~!
