The Business Education Department of Monroe High School strives to provide various activities, experiences and modes of instruction to help students attain the following objectives:

·         To understand the business and economic environment in which we live.

·         To acquire business skills and knowledge for personal and occupational uses.

·         To apply skills in decision making and problem solving.

·         To realize responsibilities to oneself and others.

·         Class participation and discussion- 15%

·         Completion of assignments- 25%

·         Exams- 10%

·         Project- 50%

The culminating activity for the semester will be project based and presented on PowerPoint, worth half of the grade. Progress reports are issued quarterly. Conferences or appointments may be scheduled throughout the year.
