Problems with Take Home Quiz
Types of Cheating I have experienced with Adagio
1. Student took test (quiz) at home, not at computer lab on campus:
Sensei cannot tell where I took the test.
2. Student claims a quiz page is not accessible:
Sensei cannot tell what page I went to.
3. Student claims a test result cannot be found.
Sensei lost the test.
4. Student claims the timer said Your time is up, even though it was only a minutes.
Sensei cannot tell when I accessed.
Some Functions built-in to server
1. Student can only send their answers once
2. Server can set a time limit
Best Evidence is to keep a detailed log showing when students accessed what page from where.
Adagio server keeps an extremely detailed log of each user (student). By analyzing this log,
Following are server access analysis software.

Conclusion:
After teaching online for 4 years, I have experienced various kinds of cheating techniquies students might come up with. The best approach against cheating is to keep a detailed access log on the server and to analyze the log.
After 4 years, I now explain to students what kind of cheating was done and how it was done. I also tell them how I caught each student cheating. By knowing this, students are informed that online cheating isnt easy. I havent experienced any cheating in the last couple of years.
In recent semesters, access logs are used to confirm what kind of trouble students had.
