Important Notice!

The first time you log in to Blackboard.com, you must go to the course section titled "User Tools" and change your password from your social security number to a password of your choice that you will remember.
Write this password down and do not forget it.

Afterwards, please go to the section titled "Course Information" and read all of the course information, the course syllabus, the instructions for taking this class online through Blackboard.com, and the additional course documents. Please read all materials carefully and thoroughly, especially the online instructions. All attachments are downloadable and printable on your home pc or on computer lab pcs as MS Word documents (.doc) or PDF files (.pdf).

After you have read through all of the course documents, please go to the section titled "User Tools". From there you can change your personal information, send emails to the class, use the digital drop box to submit assignments and get feedback from the teacher and other class members, and check your grades. Take some time to become familiar with each of these features because we will use each of them all semester beginning this week.

ELI 100 is a 3-credit academic writing course for non-native speakers of English. It is equivalent in requirements and credits to ENG 100, writing for native speakers of English.

This section (7) is conducted online. However, the instructor is still available for office hours. Please see the class syllabus for office hours and location.
