Basic Civil Rights
Mariko Hirata

Why civil rights are important for people

Civil rights are rights that everyone should have. This means the there are no differences between people. Everybody has rights, and everybody is equal. Why it is important for people to have basic civil rights? I think it is very important to make good communities and countries.

First, what civil rights are there? One is the right to vote, which means everybody can vote to choose their leaders. I think this is one of the most important civil rights. There are many people, and everybody has different opinions and different ways of thinking. Thus, this right says that you can choose the leaders that they prefer. I think this will lead to good communities and countries. In some countries, one person has all of the power. This makes communities and countries unfair, because this is only one person’s opinions.

In conclusion, I think basic civil rights are very important. Everybody has some rights which make people fair and equal. Therefore, nobody can have power by himself or herself. Communities and countries should be made by all people, so this leads to fair and equal communities or countries.
