Winter Break

A: I'm fine. How about you?

S: I'm good. Today is November 17th. So, we have only one month left in this semester. In other words, we will take final examination soon.

A: Oh? I hate it and I don't prepare to the examination. Do you study for final examination?

S: No, I don't study for examination at all. However, after final examination, we have winter break right?

A: Yes. I'm looking forward to coming winter break.

S: Really! Do you have any plan for winter break?

A: Of course! I will go back Japan. Then I'm going to meet my boyfriend, and Of course, I will go shopping.

S: That's nice! By the way today's topic is also winter break plan for KCC students. I interviewed some students about how to spend their winter break.

A: Oh! It sounds nice. I want to know about international students' plans

S: OK. First, some international students will go back their home countries. The reasons are to meet girlfriend, go shopping, earn the money for tuition, meet grandparents, and play with their friends in their home countries.

Second, Other students will stay at Hawaii in winter break. One student said to me "my grandparents will come to Hawaii in the middle of December. So, I'm going to spend winter break with grandparents and show them around. Another student will travel Maui and Big island in December. Another student told me that I have to stay at Hawaii because I have uncle and aunt. I live with them now. They have little children. In addition, my aunt is worker. So, I have to help my aunt because my uncle have to go mainland in December on business.

A: The person must be busy person. I live with my grandparents now. My uncle and aunt live in here. He has little children. I know it is difficult to take care of little children.

S: Yes, It's difficult to take care of little children.

Third, I heard interesting plan. It is spending with her friends in New York. Her friends live in New York. She will spend Christmas Day in New York. I think it is very wonderful. I want to go to New York at Christmas time someday.

A: Me too. So, I have a question. What percentage of international students will go back to their home countries?

S: I interviewed 15 students. So, 66% of international students will go back their countries in winter break.

A: Really! It is amazing! More than half of international students will go back home countries. By the way, do you have any plan for winter break?

S: Yes. I will go back to Japan too. I will go out with my friends, meet my girlfriend, visit the hospital my uncle, and drink delicious Japanese sake.

S: I'll be busy in Japan.

A: I think so.
