Taro Maki - Shiho Ogiso

Hi! How are you doing?

We host this radio program. My name is Taro/Shiho.

Today, we introduce to you The Honda International Center.

We usually call it HIC. HIC is located Iliahi. There are about 450 int'l students in KCC. All of int'l students visit HIC at least once, so HIC is the most important institution for int'l students.

First of all, let's talk about history of HIC. This institution was named The Honda International Center after Paul S. Honda. Mr. Honda is a community leader and internationalist in recognition of his support of international education. He provided international opportunity for students. Mr. Honda donated money to establish HIC, so he was a creator of HIC.

Do you understand how wonderful person Mr. Honda is?

Next, we introduce to you the function of HIC. Mainly, Honda International Center provides very important information, for example student visa, housing, insurance, procedure for transfer, and anything about admission. After entered KCC, about 20 students visit to ask something in a day. HIC helps international students, so relationship between int'l students and HIC is very important. HIC also provides us with counsel of our academic goal. There are two counselors at HIC. If you have some questions or problem, make a reservation.

Oh! HIC supports comfortable campus lives.

Since HIC opened, fourtunately, there has been no serious problem with int'l students. HIC hopes that int'l students follow the roles, improve English skills, and get communication with KCC students.

HIC is very useful institution for int'l students. Staff members consist of faculty coordinator, international admission staff, and student serve and office manager. All staff members of HIC are very friendly and kindness. If you have something problem, go to HIC!! They will help you.

HIC opens Mon. through Fri., and office hour is 8am to 4:30pm.
