The group got its start in July of 2002. The group has evolved incorporating different salsa styles into group routines. Now Da lion has basically made up his own style of salsa which is a fusion of the different influences from Los Angeles, New York, Cuba and Puerto Rico, also blending capoeira and other dance influences most notably hip-hop into their group routines. Currently the group works and trains with Bernard and Sanyo Martinez, Edie the salsafreak and Liz Lira.
Da lion has over 20 years of dance experience in hip-hop, award show principal dancer, music videos. Natalie a gymnastics coach and martial artist has over 15 years of dance experience, sunshine has been dancing since she could walk hula, hip-hop and salsa. Da lion is also the Hawaii two time representatives to the ESPN world salsa championship in 2006 and 2007 in Las Vegas and Orlando. Sunshine was the 2006 representative in Las Vegas and Natalie was the 2007 representative in Orlando.
