- Create a new Voyager session
- Use Session Guide
- Save an existing session
- Edit an existing session
CREATE NEW VOYAGER SESSION WITH SESSION GUIDE
- CREATE NEW SESSION:
- Use session guide?
- OCLC Services: PRISM Cataloging
- Access method: Internet
- Enter authorization and password
- Type session name: Voyager
- Open this session?
CREATE A NEW SESSION FROM AN EXISTING SESSION
(session will be named "Voyager")
- Open existing session
- Save as new session
- Type session name "Voyager"
- Open "Voyager" session
- "Export/Transfer" tab
- Export destination: file
- Change folders to: C:\Voyager\Import
- Change file name to: passport.dat
- Accept Export Destination
- End setup for export
- Save changes to "Voyager" session
- Click: session, close
EDIT AN EXISTING SESSION
(session will have same name as existing session)
- Open existing session
- Change session settings
- Create export destination file
- Save session and close

- Catalog in Voyager
- Access title in OPAC with Netscape
- Save record as MARC file
- Accept default filename: Pwebrecon.cgi
- Change filename to: pwebrecon.dat
- Import to OCLC CatME
- Do not delete import file (can be used again for next import)
- Update record
- Export to local file (optional)
- Add OCLC 035 tag with exact subfield ‘a’ to Voyager bib record
- Import to Voyager (optional)
- Merge record (optional)
- Click: Replace/Merge OCLC Merge
OCLC PASSPORT BONUS: Delete the "grey area"
- Open session
- Click: Session, settings
- Click "Display" tab
- Element: non-text area
- Select basic color: white
- Save changes
- Grey "non-text area" is white
