The terms "automation librarian" and "systems librarian" are not
strictly defined, and are frequently used interchangeably. It seems
that over the years, though, that "systems librarian" has become the
more widely used term. My
understanding of the matter is that, at least at one time, "automation
librarian" implied a managerial role, while "systems librarian"
implied more of a technical,
system management type of role. My job has elements of
both, and I'll answer to either.
