Dogs are a subspecies of the wolf. Dogs are one of the most common companion animals in the world. Dogs are known as "a man's best friend."

There is an estimated 400 million dogs in the world, with hundred of breeds.

Dogs are often seen as family members because of their loyalty and devotion. These characteristics are linked to the human idea of love and friendship. Although dogs can be dangerous, it is often related to the lack of training by their owners. Dogs are very sociable animals and playful pets.
