Kendo
Kendo is a Martial Art that originated in Japan. Much like fencing it requires certain gear to protect the user. It also requires a shinai.
The shinai, like a saber in fencing, is used to hit or stab at the opponent.
Required Gear
| Shinai | Bamboo sword with a leather grip. |
| Men | Helmet comprised of thick cloth, rawhide, and iron bars. Fits over head and ties behind head with rope . |
| Doh | Breastplate which protects chest, ribs, stomach, and sides from blows from the shinai. Predominantely made of durable plastic.

| Kote | Gloves used to protect hands and forearms. Normally made of leather, thick cloth, rope, and small amounts of plastic
|
| Tare | Protects waist and crotch from dirty fighters. Predominantely made of thick cloth.
