Notes:
Dolphins can identify many characteristics of submerged objects, including their size, structure, shape, and material composition. Dolphins can detect the presence of small (7.6 cm diameter) stainless-steel spheres at distances up to 113 m, can discriminate between aluminum, copper, and brass circular targets, and can discriminate between circles, squares, and triangular targets. Dolphins can locate fish buried in sand and dig them up for food.
