This module is the final Master's project for the developer, Ricky Okazaki, in pursuit of a Master's degree in Educational Technology (ETEC) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
The intent of this module was to provide a means for ETEC students to develop storyboarding and video production skills.
The decision to make this module web-based was result of the desire to have the information accessible on multiple platforms, and to be available on and off campus. The graphical user interface was an important factor in selecting the web design.
This is the developer's first attempt at producing web pages, and has been another valuable learning experience in field of instructional design.
These web pages were designed using Adobe PageMill 2.0 (by Adobe Systems, Inc.) on an Apple Macintosh Performa 636CD. Clip art images were imported from Art Explosion 125,000 Images (by Nova Development Corporation). Image creation and manipulation were done with artWORKS 1.0.1 (by Deneba Systems, Inc.).
The completed pages were then uploaded to a public_html subdirectory within the home directory of the assigned uhunix account. Fetch 3.01 was used to ftp the files to uhunix.its.hawaii.edu. With all the proper access privileges and restrictions set, pages were accessible through the www2.hawaii.edu web server under the address of http://www2.hawaii.edu/~ricky/etec/.
