Frequently Asked Questions:
Question
1. I
heard that you can overlap more credits then before between majors and am
thinking about double majoring in Business Admin. and
Accounting
Answer: For students still enrolled in the BBA
program, you can just declare a double major -- general business and
accounting.
Question
2: What
amount of classes do I need, which ones, and are there overlapping of
credits between majors?
Answer: The required accounting courses
can NOT be used to meet the upper division business electives requirements for
the general business degree, so you would need to take 18 credits of
non-accounting courses, for a total of 121+18=139. That puts you that much
closer to the 150 hours needed for the CPA. For people that have already
graduated with a BBA, the rules in the university catalog for second degree
programs will apply.
