Psi Beta/ Psychology Club Meeting Minutes
Thursday, September 19, 2002
Hale Na’auao Lounge
12:00 p.m.

Called to order at 12:30 p.m.
Members present: Frank Palacat, Falisha Herbic, Chia Higa, Stan Jenkins, Tracy Cedar, Darlene Ordenstein, Allison Hellyer, Angela Willson,
Members Absent: Alexandria Cummings, Mike Higa, Le Ann Le, Bridgette McCrocklin, Zillah Ramos, Jenna Kawamoto, Sue Lowe, Nadine Sylva, Remington Goyton, Krissy Perreira.
Motion to approve last weeks minutes made by Allison, seconded by Chia. All in favor.
Officers Reports:
Vice President: nothing new to report at this time.
Treasurer: Nothing new at this time.
Committee Reports:
Induction committee: All Psi Beta and Psychology club members to meet on Thursday Oct. 3, 2002 to make plans for induction ceremony.  The Induction Planning Meeting will be held in lieu of our regular Psi Beta/ Psychology Club Meeting.  Hale Na’auao Lounge, 12:00 pm – 1:20 pm.
Old Business:
Field trip: The Woman’s Prison and Castle Hospital are going to take a while to plan for; therefore our first excursion is to be planned for October 4, 11, or 18 to the Merimen Foundation.  Darlene will make reservations for a tour and the final date will be given at the next meeting.  The time for the tour will be set for 2:00 pm.  Everyone to meet on campus at 1:30 pm.  Motion made by Tracy, seconded by Chia to make the Merimen Foundation our first field trip.  All in favor.
Charter Update:  Psi Beta has received our application and charter fee.  The official date of instillation will be November 8, 2002 (the day of our Induction Ceremony).
Car Wash: Location to be reserved at the Enchanted Lakes Shell Station.  Tracy will make reservations for Saturday, September 28th.  Shell is charging a fee of $45.00 to be allotted from pre-sold tickets and any overage to be funded by local chapter dues.  Psi Beta and Psychology Club members have volunteered to temporarily donate any supplies needed.  Need Volunteers.
Club Fest: Set for October 10th.  Suggestion to sell shave ice as a fund raiser.  Need volunteers.
Country Holiday Bizarre: Psi Beta / Psychology Club to have a booth.

Fundraisers: Candy, dance, Chili, almonds, and any other fundraising suggestions to be tabled until after
Current fundraisers are completed.
T-shirts: Tabled until we have spending capital.  Allison has great contact for reasonable prices.  A T-shirt Committee to be formed at a later date.
New Business:
Appointment of Officers:
Tracy Cedar appointed as Recording Secretary.
Angela Willson appointed as acting Treasurer.
Announcements:
Have not been able to contact previously interested charter members Le Ann Le and
 Zillah Ramos.  Will remove from official records until we can reach them for official registration.
