10/09/09: UH PRSSA Participates in Radiothon UH Manoa On Friday, October 9, 2009, from 5pm-7pm, UH PRSSA members will participate in Star 101.9’s “Rock Against AIDS Radiothon”. The event will benefit Life Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against AIDS. Members will be answering telephones and taking donations to support Life Foundation’s HIV programs and services for people living with HIV. For more information, visit www.lifefoundation.org 10/14/09: Sports PR UH Manoa Many of our members are interested in pursuing a career is Sports PR after college, and there’s no better way to learn more about this field than from our very own Neal Iwamoto, Assistant Sports Media Relations Director at the University of Hawaii. Mr. Iwamoto will speak to UH PRSSA on Wednesday, October 14 at 5:30pm in Hemenway 215. Together we will gain insight about this popular field and take away some helpful tips on how to succeed in the future. 10/24/09: Social Bash! Honolulu The semester’s UH PRSSA Social Bash will be a tailgating event at the UH vs. Boise State football game on Saturday, October 24, starting at 2pm. This is a chance for members to get together, have a good time and support our UH Warriors! Bring a dish and join us for an afternoon of BBQing and fun in the sun! 10/28/09: Bake Sale! UH Manoa Who can pass up the yummy goodness coming off the tables at UH PRSSA’s bake sale?! This semester’s Halloween-themed bake sale will be held on Wednesday, October 24 from 8am-3pm. Goodies to be sold include white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, brownies, rice krispies, confetti cupcakes, sugar cookies and more! Come out and support UH PRSSA and don’t forget to grab enough treats for class!
