Exam Format (for both midterms and final):

20 conceptual questions (2 pts each), 3 calculational problems (20 pts each)

A sheet of note (8.5" x 11") is allowed.

** The conceptual questions part of the exam is cummulative.

Homework:

Doing physics problems is an integral part of your learning. Homework will be due daily at the beginning of class. See Homework Assignments for the Semester and Homework Answer Sheet Format. (Answers to odd numbered problems are in the back of the text).

Grade: Based on an absolute scale.

Total (100%) = Homework (20%) + Midterm 1 (25%) + Midterm 2 (25%) + Final (30%)

90%-100% (A), 75%-89% (B), 55%-74% (C), 45%-54% (D), Below 44% (F)

No "incomplete" (I Grade) will be given.
