Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Hill is a versatile, multi-platinum artist, performer, producer, and producer. She was born in South Orange, New Jersey. When she was young she often fell asleep to her parents R & B records on stereo.
Later she teamed up with her childhood friends to comprise the Fugees. Their 2nd album "The Score" was a hit and it gave her a chance to sing. The album was mostly rap but it revealed her vocal versatility and power.
She had her solo debut in August of 1998 with her album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill". It was a large autobiographical work that covered topics of materialism, racism and sexism.
Lauryn Hill has won so much prestigious awards such as: Best R&B Artist, #1 Album of the Year, and so much more.
