Fall 2006 Activities
- Canned Goods Drive is ongoing until December 9.
- For Active Status, 10 Canned Goods are required. Additional cans will net 2 points each
- Contact an Officer ahead of time to drop off canned goods at POST 314, Professor Nickles office.
- Make sure you have the canned goods in a bag/box marked with your first and last name in legible writing. We want to give you credit.
- T-Shirt Fundraising
- $15 each. Four Designs.
- 10 points for buying the shirt and 5 points for wearing them to events.
- Contact an Officer ahead of time to schedule a time to meet or wait until a GM.
- NSCS Tutoring at Kalani High School will begin September 20 and will be held every Monday/Wednesday from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM. Members can expect to help Kalani students with high school level English, Math, Science, etc. Tutoring is 20 points per session. You may email Jesse for more details.
- Aloha Stadium Fundraising will take place 9/16, 9/30, 10/07, 10/28, 11/11, 11/18, 11/25 and 12/02/06 with two working shifts each, 1 PM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 10 PM. 10 points an hour. You have the chance to make a maximum of 90 points in one day. You may email Heather for more details.

December 2006 Activities
- Aloha Stadium Fundraising The final Rainbowtique Booth will be held. Since the game is starting a hour later, expect to stay behind a little longer. As always, sales of UH apparel and inventory will be conducted.
- Take a Campus Leader to Lunch At Kit n Kitchen on University Avenue, NSCS will hold a light lunch with ACM Film School Chairman, Chris Lee (known recently for his involvement with Superman Returns, as well).
- IBC Volunteer Event Volunteer to work at the IBC end of the semester social for 15 AMPS an hour.
- End of the Semester Social Have dinner, reflect and all around hang out with fellow NSCS members before Finals Week.
November 2006 Activities
- General Meeting #3 at POST 127 on November 8 from 4:30 PM to 5 PM. An alternate General Meeting will be held at BUS-AD D103 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM on the 13th.
- General Meeting #4 The date is tentatively on the 22nd or 29th. Stay tuned for more details.
- Aloha Stadium Fundraising Three of the last four fundraising days are this month on the 11th, 18th and 25th. Take advantage of the chance to get Active Status and chill out with other members.
October 2006 Activities
- General Meeting #2 at POST 127 on October 11 from 4:30 PM to 5 PM. An alternate General Meeting will be held at BUS-AD D103 from 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM.
- UH Manoa Tour at Campus Center Ballroom 301 on Wednesday, October 18 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, NSCS members will be paired with High School students interested in a common major. You are advised to take the students and sit in on your class and answer their questions and concerns. You will be given 20 points an hour upon successfully bringing your student(s) back for lunch. - Cookie Corner Booth at Campus Center near Jamba Juice.
- Takes place on Monday, October 23 and Thursday, October 26 in four one hour shifts.
- 5 AMPS for each hour, 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30, 12:30-1:30 and 1:30-2:30.
- Make a Difference Day at Hokulani Elementary on October 28 at 8 AM-12 PM. From simple yard cleaning to replanting, chopping trees, and tending to the taro patch will be done. Feel free to bring a change of clothes and/or your own tools (make sure they are marked as yours). For directions Email Jason
September 2006 Activities
- General Meeting #1 at POST 127 at 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM. Membership Info Forms, Surveys, Consent Forms and upcoming events will be discussed.
- Fall 2006 New Member Induction will be held at Campus Center Ballroom 306.
- Volunteers may start arriving before 3:30 PM.
- New Members may start arriving before 4:00 PM. During this time, you may mingle, drop off canned goods, get your name cards and find seating.
- Professor Nickles set up a splash page of images from the Induction. Check it out
- 12 points will be awarded per hour.
