February 6th

I find it so difficult to do this even when something really out of the ordinary happens.

 I may have had sore legs from this long weekend of standing for over an hour and trudging over the mountain range twice and riding out to San Juan Bautista, BUT I had the weather this week to deal with for the next week so I better get a decent ride in while the weather is nice.   So I did a Hicks Road loop.  Wasn't that cold and on brutal Hicks Road I was sweating.  Legs felt a little better after the climb and went over to Metcalf and Bailey Road.  So I bomb down Bailey take the second hairpin real fast but clean.  Just after I see a bunch of Red, White, and Black jersey clad riders, CSC, the whole team.  But no time to oogle as a truck driver is attempting to pass the 20 some odd riders....IN MY LANE.  Just my luck.  Well  I remain as far to the right as possible and I guess everything turned out fine.  At the back right in front of the CSC team car was bald headed (no helmet) Bjarne Riis,  he looked a little discouraged by something.(can't imagine what?)  I can now say CSC almost got me killed, or that I almost killed all of CSC.  You can decide which.  Either way the drivers here are impatient bastards.

February 7th

Today was a big day for a bunch of high school jocks.  I wasn't a jock in high school, though I was clearly the fittest person at the school.  On ESPNU there was 9 hours of 'Signing Day" coverage.  Geez that is ridiculous.  I'm sure in Hawaii news it was a big deal for all the high schoolers there.  Why do I care?

No real rain when I wake up maybe a little drizzly.  Waited a little before I left, but eventually I did, and was confronted by every red light in Northwest San Jose.  On Capitol I think I made one light.  This always happens when I get a tailwind.  I went all the way to Fremont turned around went towards ALum Rock Park and wanted to ride up a little of Mount Hamilton but this was the only place where the clouds weren't holding out so I went back.  I got back at 10:45 and it started raining at just about 10:50.  Just in time.  Read my Engineering Management textbook and that was about it.  My computer was acting weird.  When I tried to order a new saddle for my new bike so that (1) it would look good (2) So I don't have to take the saddle off my training bike every time.  Well when I tried to checkout my Shift key would acted as an enter key and my caplock would lock.   Then my outdated norton told me I had a Black Trogan Virus trying to access my laptop.  Bloody hell.  Didn't matter I couldn't get past pressing shift on the screen.  Then I had my Windows defender do a full system scan and it, found more garbage.  Restarted the computer and I thought it was okay.

Engineering Management is a 2hour 50 minute class and I was there 15 minutes extra. Darn it.  Missed all of Firday Night Lights (high school football?) but LOST was on.  And this episode actually made some sense, had some resolutions and was really good.  But it was on at 10pm, make me stay up late why don't ya.

February 8th

Still very little rain but lots of clouds.  But my legs aren't in the mood for anbother 2-3 hour ride at effort.  (I don't do easy rides)  So just an hour and a few.  Mostly flat except Silver Creek.  Going down was a bit like if the Pali had a bike lane and the drivers were impatient bastards.  I hit 80 kph on that stretch and the cars were just blowing by me!  The speed limit I think was 45 so I think a cop could really make some cash for Santa Clara county there.  Nice warm morning, 53 degrees or so.  After about 45 mintues my legs start feeling okay which means....I have a tailwind.....

After a large breakfast.  I got on my computer and was getting fed up with these Hotkey Function needs to shut down everytime I start up, this has been happening for over a month now.  But my Hotkeys worked so I ignored it, then I realized that may have been the reason I had the problems where I reached a secure webpage.  I did another system scan that found nothing, so looked around and found I had a Toshiba Hotkey and a Microsoft Function Key program operating at the same time, don't know why.  I disabled the Toshiba one in msconfig.  I think that fixed it, and my contrl +V works just fine.  I wanted to do a whole system overhaul but I don't have my microsoft office disk so it'll have to wait until later or if I get some money.  I just need to win Sea Otter, like that's gonna happen....

Found out Silverchair has released there first single from there latest album that will be release on March 31st.

Also Silverchair is having a contest through Myspace where you can edit clips from their video and make your own video and win stuff.   My movie is gonna kick arse.  I'll try to post it on youtube...until it gets taken down.

After ME243 I came back, turned my computer on, and again someone or thing was trying to access my computer.  172.0.0.1 seems like a server host.  SOOOOOO I decided to just put the firewalls up and no longer allow anything into this laptop, until I can afford one with 2GB or DDRAM, a dual core processor, and a 160 GB hard drive.

I had my complaints about the Unibet.com jerseys, they are still ugly mind you, but that is cool.
