Research Experience

Research Assistant, 1/04-12/07         University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO)

  • Drafted reports and prepared presentations on Hawaii and global economic outlook
  • Developed and maintained econometric models to forecast U.S., Japan, and Hawaii’s economies.
  • Initiated and developed Perl and AREMOS codes to automate data collection and database maintenance of 10,000+ economic indicators.

Research Assistant, 5/05-8/05           Water Resources Research Center

  • Collaborated with a team of economists to develop a mathematical model to determine the optimal path of public expenditures on prevention and control of invasive species in Hawaii.
  • Transformed the model into Mathematica code.
