Greater Pine Island The Greater Pine Island Water Association, Florida, had a requirement to bring several brackish wells into service. This was accomplished with a 1.5 MGD reverse osmosis plant designed, manufactured and commissioned by MSC. The RO plant is rated for a minimum capacity of 1.5 MGD and is expandable to 3.0 MGD. The plant has two 750,000 GPD capacity RO trains. The plant desalinates about 1800 ppm TDS well water to provide less than 500 ppm TDS potable water. The plant operates at 85% recovery and uses thin film composite membrane elements. |
