Entrance sign welcomes visitors to the 5.0
million gallon per day D.B. Lee Water
Reclamation Facility. The plant produces
2.0 million gallons per day of reuse water
used to irrigate large commercial
properties, as well as residential
properties.
City of Melbourne maintenance worker
Calvin Whipkey created this scenic mural on
the digester tank located at the entrance of
the Grant Street Wastewater Treatment
Plant. The plant is designed to treat 5.1
million gallons per day of wastewater from
the south end of the City and return 500,000
gallons per day as reuse water for irrigation
purposes.
