Located just to the East of the plant on approximately 534 acres and receives its water from the river pumps and rainfall. WITHDRAWAL PERMIT 3.714 BG (10.18 MGD) annually, 12.82 MGD daily maximum WELL PUMPS AND MOTORS Franklin, 6 inch stainless steel submersible 25 Hp motors with Byron-Jackson 6 inch submersible, two stage pumps. Each of our wells are controlled by a radio signal sent from a computer terminal located in the control room that uses Scadix software. LEVEL CONTROL The wellfield level is maintained by the hours we set the river to operate, keeping a range between 38-45 in. below sea level. |

Cartridge filters (4) are the first step in the treatment process. The filters are used to remove particles larger than .5 microns in size, prior to application of the feedwater to the membrane elements. There are 296 filters per cartridge and each cartridge is capable of treating 4.0 MGD. Typical raw water operating pressure is 35-40 psig. The filter element media is polypropylene FDA GRADE, 2 ½" in diameter and 40" in length. Membrane feed pumps (4) are 3100 gpm, horizontal split case centrifugal pumps with a 350 Hp motor. There is a variable frequency drive on each pump motor to adjust the power supply frequency before the power is delivered to the motor, the speed of the motor is affected by the power supply adjustments. The pumps provide the required feedwater and flow to drive the membrane softening treatment process. |
