The U. S. Water News Web site does not have links immediately related to desalination, but does have many important links in the water quality and water supply arenas. It is a very nicely designed and organized Web page and it has the ingredients of an e xcellent business model which other sites can learn a a lot from. Their page is organized around eleven major categories:

The News is updated monthly and covers topics such as water supply and quality, legislation, and global waterfront. The Archives are organized monthly and go back to January 1996. One of the archived articles of very general interest is U. N. calls lack of clean water a major threat to world peace

The category Meetings & Conferences describes many dozens right on up to May 1998. Here is an excerpt:
