I am currently a graduate student of the Department of Geology & Geophysics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My field of study is Marine Geophysics. I was born in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating high school, I went to a technical school for car mechanic and worked for Toyota Motors as a mechanic. I then decided to go to college to study again. I entered Senshu University in Japan in 1994 and, in my senior year, I transferred to UH to study marine geology. I got my BS in Geology & Geophysics at UH in the summer of 2000. Now I work as a Graduate Research Assistant in the department. Please check out my CV for more information. |

My particular field of study is exploration geophysics in marine environment. My research mainly involves the processing and interpretation of marine geophysical data, such as seismic reflection, magnetism, and gravity. Dr. Bryan Taylor is my graduate advisor since Spring 2001. I will join two marine geophysical research cruises in the coming summer. The study areas will be the Gulf of Corrinth and the Gulf of Aden. These two places are of geophysical interest because they are continental rifted margins. |

In the past, I had hobbies and interests in motorcycling, fly fishing, golf, triathlon, etc. Now due to the time constrain, I am not involve in my hobbies. Presently most of my time is occupied by my research and study. |
